Who am I?!?

HI there! Welcome to the Foil&Flux blog!

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Shana (rhymes with banana) and I'm slightly obsessed with glass. My interest in stained glass began with a high school class and has turned into a huge part of who I am in the years since. (I graduated in '99... I'll let you do that math if you really feel the need. Haha) What started out as a hobby became something bigger and better and continues to grow.

2015 is when I first decided I would start turning what I love into a business... and it's coming along quite nicely, if I do say so myself! It hasn't been easy. There's much more to be done. It's time consuming and a little scary. I see friends a lot less. I get invited to hang out and have to say, "Nope. Sorry. I've got glass I need to work on," more often than not. I come home from the full time day job and go straight into the studio... because deadlines have to be met. But you know what? I love what I'm doing. This is what I need to do to make my business blossom. Creating Foil&Flux Glassworks has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Nothing could make me go back. And as 2017 quickly approaches, and as I'm sitting here writing this, I'm so excited and hopeful for what's to come.
